Talk About Partnering With Apollo Buckingham Health Science Campus

Become a Partner

Our vision is to become a vibrant campus to inspire collaborations between healthcare, academia, innovation and research to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

Our mission is to bring together like minded organisations to address the current and future needs of the UK healthcare sector in terms of growing the workforce, offering specialist and post graduate medical education and providing an environment in which to stimulate advances in healthcare.

The Apollo Buckingham Health Science Campus (ABHSC), is based on the former Manchester Metropolitan University site in Crewe.  It comprises some 23 buildings on the 40 acre site, which include listed, traditional and modern infrastructure.

Since 1912 when the Crewe Campus first opened its doors as a College, it has been a centre of education with a history of major educational establishments and it is proud to continue this heritage.  Apollo has formed a partnership with the University of Buckingham, to deliver medical foundation courses, biomedical courses and medicine on the campus.  There are more than 200 British and international students currently studying, while residing on campus.  With  student numbers set to grow, with the introduction of allied health courses, the campus is supporting the local economy with its team of lecturers, administration, customer care, welfare and site maintenance staff.

The campus also accomodates an NHS vaccination centre, nurse training programmes, local charities, the South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce, and hosts various regional and local events in its flexible range of meeting spaces.

ABHSC’s facilities include:  lecture theatres and seminar/break-out rooms, a well equipped sports and well-being centre which hosts gym and dance classes, a Little Angels creche, and a conference and events centre. It also hosts Booth Hall, an 800 room accommodation block which supports activities on the campus.

Work is underway to restore and refurbish buildings on the campus to attract new partners.  It will offer high quality modern workspaces for start ups and growing businesses, with access to communal areas and meeting rooms, at attractive rates.  There will also be access to laboratory space and incubator services. The campus offers free parking, large areas of green space, a peaceful riverside area and picturesque Japanese garden for enjoyment and reflection.

ABHSC has great transport links, being just half a mile from Crewe railway station. The upgraded HS2 rail project will enhance this even further.  It is also just a few minutes from junction 16 or 17 of the M6.
